CHINA: Youngor To Join Hands With Kellwood

SHANGHAI: According to recently signed deal the United States based Kellwood and Youngor will join hands in producing shirts.

According to the deal, the Kellwood Asia Ltd. under the banner of Kellwood will join hands with Youngor in setting up a factory to produce shirts for overseas market.

A Kellwood subsidiary in Hong Kong will buy shares from a printing and dyeing company of Youngor, a Sino-Japanese joint venture, to conduct joint production of high-grade fabrics.

Sources with Youngor said that the cooperation with Kellwood is not only a fund raising move but also an effort to foster the famous brand of Youngor on world market.

Kellwood, one of the top five garment makers in the USA, realized US$2.5 billion in sales in 2003.
